UWP was found in 1996 as one of
eight regional tours located in northeastern part of the USA or
better known as “Region 8” through sanctioning of the
International Jet Sport Boating Association (IJSBA). UWP in 2009
partnered with the IJSBA to produce the UWP-IJSBA Watercross
National Tour, as a starting point to revamp watercross racing
across the country.
UWP’s
mission is to promote the positive image of Personal
Watercrafts (PWC) by communicating and |
|
educating International
Jet Sports Boating Association members as well as all PWC
enthusiasts on the fun, safe, responsible use of PWCs.This
includes, navigational and local boating laws, which we
encourage all riders to obey the local, state and federal
regulations. UWP promotes organized and supervised PWC events in
a professional manner. All of our events are sanctioned by the IJSBA which
serves as an international governing and sanctioning body for
Personal Watercraft (PWC) racing. |

Sure,
this sounds formal but the basic premise of this is important!
UWP-IJSBA National Tour is the featured national tour of the
IJSBA. The tour brings together the finest professional and
amateur athletes in the watercross, in the most fan friendly
venues in the United States; beautiful beaches, extreme racing
on technical and challenging closed courses, great payout, warm
sun (hopefully) and lots of fun! These are the things that make
the UWP-IJSBA National Tour the biggest, best watercross racing
events in the world! |
